Just Living Life!

  One of the main promises I made to Dot (and John), when she was still a newborn in the NICU newly diagnosed, was that I would never stop her from living a full life due to my own fear.  Yes, we have to take extra precautions because she’s medically fragile with a rare condition that causes adrenal insufficiency and is life threatening.  Yes it’s a big deal.  Yes, she will be on meds for life and seeing endless lifelong specialists.  However, that doesn’t mean that she can’t do everything any other kiddo her age can, and should be given the freedom to do.  She ✨should✨ experience the full spectrum of the joys and adventures life has to offer.  If nothing else, her time with doctors, major surgeries, invasive tests and months in the hospital, have taught me that.  Life is precious, and so are the experiences, people, milestones and trials that make it up.  So here’s to friends to play with, times to be a kid smiling and playing and being thri...
