Yup, you read that right, I'm turning 28 in exactly a week. I'm excited about my birthday this year, even though I already got myself the best early birthday present EVER, Sailor.  I'm stoked to be getting my Traditional Birthday Tattoo. What is a Taditional Birthday Tattoo, one may ask ? Only the most awesome thing ever invented ! Every year, since the day I turned 18, I've gotten a tattoo for my birthday.  Sometimes I get inked on my actual birthday - like I have the past few years. Sometimes I get it around my birthday maybe a week or so before or after, depending on cash flow.  But every year, rain or shine, bank bursting or begging for change, I get my Traditional Birthday Tattoo. I was having a conversation with my best friend this morning. We were talking about how Sailor's doing in his new home here with Hubs and I. She asked how his whining is going, and I couldn't lie: it's kinda hard. I have been reassured he'll grow out of it by every resource you can imagine. My friends, family, articals online, complete strangers both in my real and online life all say the same - ignore it when needed & it'll go away eventually.  I do ignore him a lot when he's just whining to whine. If he wants to play, I play. If he needs food, I feed. If he just whines for no reason, I ignore.   Mom says he does really good when i leave him in her care, which makes me happy. Like, he'll whine for a minute or less & stop and get on with his day. Plus he seems to be keeping himself busy too with his toys more, so that's a good sign I shall have more sleep soon. He does fine at night if he can get to me or be near me, but if not he just w...

Hubs keeps calling Sailor 'Saysay'. I can't say it's not a cute nickname, but his middle name is already Bear and we tend to call him Bear a lot, well, cause he looks like one. I'm wanting your opinions on this one:  Can Too Many Nicknames Confuse A Puppy/Dog ? Namely, Sailor ?  

So I know there's a ton of Blogs already using it. And since <3 me some Blog Giveaways, I thought I'd check it out as well. You know what I'm talking about.   Sailor Bear Wow, I have been so tired lately ! Got a couple of things done to the blog, yay ! But I haven't been able to REALLY write an update in quite a while. I'm having fun doing all of the awesome giveaways (don't forget to check out the new Giveaway/Contest Tab ), but wanted to post and catch you all up on Sailor .  Of course I've been sleeping on the floor for the past week, to keep him company and clean up after him when he uses his Puppy Pads on his own - like a good boy (said as I dance and sing 'Good Boy!!' - like a big ol' dork).  Hubs has been great about letting me crash early and get a few hours of sleep before he turns in and I'm on Puppy Duty once again. Meet Sailor  He's our (Hubs and My) new 6 week old puppy.  And you'd NEVER guess what he is. THE BREAKDOWN: Chow, Australian Shepard & Mini English Cream Dachshund.  +    +  =  Sailor (I made him a cubby hole - bottom shelf of my bookshelf. He likes to sleep under things & seems happy here.) Of course he's  the most adorable puppy ever, but he's also so damn smart.
