1st Homeschool Field Trip - The Dinosaur Park - Cedar Creek, Texas
A big shoutout to The Dinosaur Park in Cedar Creek, Tx for having our homeschool group!
The Dinosaur Park offers so many cool photo ops all along the trail. |
The other day, we went on our first homeschool field trip! We went with the group I co-founded, the Round Rock Renegades. It was so good seeing all of the other parents and kids having fun together outdoors and learning all about our ferocious dinosaur friends.
My co-parent even took the morning off of work to join us on our dino adventure, making it an even more special day for our two kids!
Dot loves all of the little dinos she could sit on for photos. |
The playground was awesome. There were sections and things for the smallest kids all the way up to us adults - a couple of whom could be found digging in the fossil pit.
The trail was well kept, I didn't see one spot of trash or debris on the main trail, or otherwise.

Every single adult and kiddo had such an amazing time learning all about our dino friends, that I plan on making another trip out in a few months when the weather is cooler and taking my mom and the kids again.
Nana would love The Dinosaur Park, too!
I was also very impressed with their gift shop. Plenty of clean bathrooms and even a whole little section with sinks just to wash hands - perfect when you're dealing with so many dangerous dinos!
There was a huge selection of gifts for the kids to choose from, and as far as I could tell - something for every price point.
Be sure to bring your own snacks, as there are no concessions on premises. However, they do gave a big cooler with ice cold drinks of all types to purchase, which is exactly what we did after walking the dino trail in this hot Texas summer heat.

I'd give The Dinosaur Park 10 Dinos out of 10 Dinos - we will be back - with a Nana in tow!
