Johnny's Big Weekend!
One of the first animals Johnny recognized by sight and also made the sound for was the cow.
He'd never actually seen a real cow, so when Hutto had their Olde Tyme Days, I thought it would be a perfect chance to say take him and see the Longhorn they have in front of the Texan Café every year.
It was super adorable, he started mooing as soon as he saw the Longhorn walking down the street towards us.
We were also able to make it out to the Fall Festival that's held at the St. Richards Episcopal Church near us every year. They have food trucks, a petting zoo, ponies you can ride, live music, a huge pumpkin patch, and trunk or treating.
We mainly went for the petting zoo so Johnny could love on some cute little animals and of course we had to get pictures taken of him at the pumpkin patch.
We were certainly disappointed that we didn't have Dorothy with us this year to enjoy the weekend and the Fall Festival, but we are so happy that she is doing a bit better and making progress. I'm sure by this time next year they'll both be running around the pumpkin patch and keeping us on our toes!
What are some of your favorite fall festival activities?
